We all know the saying “it takes a village to raise a child”, but it also takes a village to run and grow a business.
Your staff are a critical part of that village, and it SO important to create and maintain a team-oriented staff that are willing to work together to get job/task done in the best, most efficient way possible.
I have worked with team-oriented and non-team oriented staff members, and the difference is astonishing.
Team-Oriented Staff Members think about the students, the overall goal, and approach their work with dedication and humility. A team-oriented staff member will not say that he/she is above any type of work. Team-Oriented Staff will support your business, policies, and infrastructure and will openly and regularly communicate any types of issues or concerns. With this team member, you are able to problem solve and create solutions together.
The alternative scenario is quite the opposite. The Non-Team Oriented Staff Member will not uplift your business and will present challenges throughout his/her tenure.
Keep your eyes open for certain patterns of behavior, and be proactive versus reactive in managing situations as they arise.
Build your “staff village” to support your studio and its mission- the results/outcome will amaze you.
