So You Think You Can Dance is working its way into the final weeks of their tenth season. I have watched the show a few times and have been impressed with some of the choreography and the diversity/strength of the dancers. Regardless of our individual opinion of the show, I think it is accurate to say that has influenced, impacted, and evolved the face of dance.
As I was thinking about the show last night, I thought back to my absolute favorite piece. The piece was choreographed by Travis Wall and performed by Neil Haskell & Kent Boyd. The musicality, intensity, and rawness of the interpretation of the story is so real. You can watch it here.
What’s your favorite SYTYCD piece? Has any routine made a particularly powerful impact on you or your students?
