In high school, my economics teacher said there is one word you should avoid in your career. The word is: WORK. He reiterated that jobs and careers should be something you love, something in which you invest, and something that you find to be rewarding. “Work” has a negative connotation; a begrudging tone.
When I opened the studio, I vowed I would never go to work. Instead, I go to the studio, I go to teach a class, I go to recital, I go to teach a camp, etc.
Do you go to work, or do you go to dance?
Think about your phrasing. It will make a positive impact on your life!
