In order to have consistency in your spacing and staging for your recital performances, it is important to designate a standardized grid for the performance area.

This grid should be measured exactly the same in all of your studio rooms, and it should be transferable to your performance area.

Ideas for standardization include:

  • Different Colored Shapes/X Marks
  • Square Grid
  • Number Belt Downstage

For ease of traffic flow, we also designate that all dances enter from Stage L and exit on Stage R. (Of course, this may vary depending on your venue.)

With a plan in place that easily translates from studio to stage, you will have an easier process of prepping and producing your performance!
