Today’s featured app, Coach’s Eye, is an absolute must-have for teachers and dancers that utilize video learning for technical and routine-based feedback and improvement.
With the app, you can:
- Break down movements frame-by-frame with slow motion playback
- Add commentary
- Draw lines and arrows on the video to show proper alignment and form
For example, if you are working with a student on his/her back handspring, and he/she is undercutting versus pushing and arching back, you can slowly show the student where improvements need to be made in regards to execution, form, and placement (i.e. trick initiation, strengthening arms, straightening legs, etc.).
Similarly, if a student is misplacing his/her hips in a developpe, you can mark the moment of misplacement and emphasize the control and placement required to correctly execute the movement.
Additionally, the app can be used to improve group routines. You can easily notate and show precision, timing, and spatial issues.
Check it out; you will love it!
