Dance Studio Owners and Instructors are passionate about their careers and often end up constantly involved in the dance industry. Whether it is through watching movies and television shows about dance, seeing live theatrical and dance performances, reading about dance and business in books and magazines, devoting our weekends to dance-related events, or networking with like-minded people in our respective career fields, it is easy to live the business 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I love that about dance and the performing arts. I love that no matter where I am or what I am doing, I can incorporate dance into my day and be surrounded with equally passionate people.

While it is wonderful to live a passion-driven life, it is also important to incorporate a variety of activities to boast your well-being. Think about the things you enjoy doing and make sure you incorporate them into your life. From seeing a movie to going out to dinner to volunteering for an organization, small acts can be refreshing and rejuvenating. Taking time for yourself will undoubtedly result in a healthier, more productive passion that will benefit you, your work, your life, and your dance.
