A few days ago, one of my awesome staff members sent me the following article because she really loved the content of it:
As I read through it, I realized I also love the content. While our roles as dance instructors may not be that of a child’s parents, our words still have the power to impact a child. When we speak, are we positively (and honestly) embracing a child with genuine praise and encouragement? Or, do we focus on generic and person centered praise? How can our language influence a child’s development and are we aware of our approach?
