  • Skip
  • Jump

To continue challenging our dancers, consider how you can integrate basic locomotor skills into combinations and patterns of spatial design.

This will improve your dancers’ choreographic thinking and will help them with their sequencing.

For example, dancers may be asked to:

Walk Forward 2x’s

Skip Backwards 2x’s

4 Runs In A Circle

Leap R

Leap L

Hop In A Square Pattern

Of course, there are a variety of difficulty levels and pattern possibilities. Consider the possibilities, and integrate this fun activity into your classes!
