Greatest Success/Challenge of the Year: Our greatest success and greatest challenge was handling the volume of students the challenge that presented regarding recital. We normally present 3 shows, however rapid growth means that even 3 shows are becoming tremendously long and difficult to manage. This year we got creative and separated our 3 shows into 6 mini shows separated by longer intermissions allowing the younger students to leave at intermission by providing the parents with security wristbands and placing security personnel at the stage door. This was a great idea and provided for a much more manageable back stage area, and a happier parent who did not have to sit through a 3 1/2 hour recital. What a great idea!
